1. VIRAT KOHLI

Virat Kohli (born 5 November 1988) is an Indian international cricketer who currently captains the India national team. A right-handed batsman, often regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world, Kohli is ranked as one of the world's most famous athletes by ESPN and one of the most valuable athlete brands by Forbes. He plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and has been the team's captain since 2013.
Born and raised in Delhi, Kohli represented the city's cricket team at various age-group levels before making his first-class debut in 2006. He captained India Under-19s to victory at the 2008 Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia, and a few months later, made his ODI debut for India against Sri Lanka at the age of 19. Initially having played as a reserve batsman in the Indian team, he soon established himself as a regular in the ODI middle-order and was part of the squad that won the 2011 World Cup. He made his Test debut in 2011 and shrugged off the tag of "ODI specialist" by 2013 with Test hundreds in Australia and South Africa. Having reached the number one spot in the ICC rankings for ODI batsmen for the first time in 2013, Kohli also found success in the Twenty20 format, winning the Man of the Tournament twice at the ICC World Twenty20 (in 2014 and 2016). 2. AB DE VILLIERS


Abraham Benjamin de Villiers, commonly known as AB de Villiers (born 17 February 1984), is a South African international cricketer, who plays for Titans in South African domestic cricket and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He has been rated as the number one batsman in Tests and ODIs on several occasions. Often regarded as one of the best batsmen of his generation and also regarded as the greatest of all time, De Villiers holds many batting records, including the world's fastest ODI 50, 100 and 150, the fastest Test century by a South African and the fastest T20I 50 by a South African. AB de Villiers is also among one of the marquee players in T20 Global League.
He began his international career as a wicket-keeper/batsman (returning to the role for a few years in mid-career), but has played most often solely as a batsman. He has batted at various positions in the batting order but predominantly in the middle-order. Noted as one of the most innovative batsmen in the modern game, De Villiers is noted for many unorthodox shots behind the wicket-keeper and slips, which earned him the nickname Mr. 360. 3. DAVID WARNER


David Andrew Warner (born 27 October 1986) is an Australian international cricketer and the current vice-captain of the Australian national cricket team. An explosive left-handed opening batsman, Warner is the first Australian cricketer in 132 years to be selected for a national team in any format without experience in first-class cricket. He currently plays for New South Wales, the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Sydney Thunder. He became vice-captain of Australia across Test and ODI formats of the game, in August 2015. He predominantly fields at slip, but has moved to midwicket after thumb injuries in 2016. On 23 January 2017, he became the fourth player to win the Allan Border Medal more than once and also win the award in consecutive years.
Currently, he is ranked 6th in the list of top Test batsmen in the world and ranked 3rd for the top ODI batsmen in the world, according to the official ICC Player Rankings, published in April 2017. 4. HASHIM AMLA

Hashim Mahomed Amla (born 31 March 1983) is a South African International cricketer who plays for South Africa in all three formats of the game. He is a right-handed batsman, and has the record of the highest individual test score for any South African Batsman of 311* against England at Kia Oval, London in July 2012. Amla is an occasional off-break bowler and was South Africa's Test captain from June 2014 to January 2016.

5. STEVEN SMITH


Steven Peter Devereux Smith (born 2 June 1989) is an Australian international cricketer, and currently the captain of the Australia national cricket team across all three formats. He also represents New South Wales Blues, and Sydney Sixers in domestic cricket. As of January 2018, Smith is the top-ranked Test batsman in the world, according to the ICC Player Rankings. On 30 December 2017 he reached a Test batting rating of 947, the second highest of all time only behind Don Bradman's 961. He is often regarded as one of the best batsman in the world.
Although he was initially selected for Australia as a right-arm leg spinner, Smith now plays primarily as a batsman. After a few tests in 2010 and 2011, he has been a regular player in the Australian team since 2013, and took over captaincy from Michael Clarke in late 2015. 6. KANE WILLIAMSON

Kane Stuart Williamson (born 8 August 1990) is a professional cricketer and currently the captain of New Zealand. Considered as one of the best batsmen in the modern era, he is a right-handed batsman and an occasional off-spinner. He has represented Northern Districts in New Zealand domestic cricket as well as Gloucestershire and Yorkshire in the English county cricket.
Williamson made his first-class debut in December 2007. He made his U-19 debut against the touring Indian U-19 team the same year and was named captain of the New Zealand U-19 team for the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup. 7. JOE ROOT

Joseph Edward Root (born 30 December 1990) is an English cricketer, who is the current captain of the English Test team. He also represents Yorkshire domestically. He was originally a right-handed opening batsman and occasional off-spinner, with a similar playing style to former England captain Michael Vaughan. However, he has played the majority of his cricket for England in the middle order. He fields predominantly at second slip or gully. On 6 August 2015, Root became top ranked Test batsmen in the world for the first time aged 24. On 10 August 2015, he reached a Test batting rating of 917, his career high rating.
He made his debut for England in the 2012 Test series in India and made his ODI and Twenty20 International debuts on the same tour, before scoring his maiden Test century at his home ground of Headingley the following spring against New Zealand. 8. ROHIT SHARMA

Rohit Gurunath Sharma (born 30 April 1987) is an Indian international cricketer who is the Vice captain of the India national team in the Limited overs format. He is a right-handed batsman and an occasional right-arm off break bowler who plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and captains Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
Having started his international career at the age of 20, he was introduced by his father, Sharma quickly came to be pegged by many analysts as a permanent fixture in the Indian cricket team in the next decade. He made his ODI debut on 23 June 2007 against Ireland. In 2013, he started playing as an opening batsman for India ODI team, and performed consistently. 9. SHIKHAR DHAWAN


Shikhar Dhawan (born 5 December 1985) is an Indian international cricketer and occasional vice captain of Team India in T20I. Dhawan is rated as one of the best ODI openers currently. A left-handed opening batsman and occasional right-arm off break bowler, he plays for the India national team, and also for Delhi in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. He played for the Indian Under-17 and Under-19 teams before making his first-class debut for Delhi in November 2004.
Dhawan made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Australia in October 2010 at Visakhapatnam. His Test debut came against the same opposition in March 2013 at Mohali where he scored the fastest century by any batsman on Test debut and ended his innings with 187 runs from 174 balls. A prolific run-scorer in ICC tournaments, Dhawan top-scored in the 2004 Under-19 World Cup, and the 2013 and 2017 Champions Trophy tournaments, and holds the record for the fastest to reach 1000 runs in ICC ODI tournaments. In August 2013, he recorded the then-second-highest individual score in a List A match when he scored 248 runs off 150 balls for India A against South Africa A at Pretoria. At the 2015 World Cup, he was the leading run-scorer for India and in the following year, became the fastest Indian to reach 3,000 ODI runs. In December 2017, he became the 2nd fastest Indian to reach 4000 ODI runs. During the 4th ODI against South Africa in Johannesberg, he became the first Indian and ninth overall to score a century in his 100th ODI game.

10. FAF DU PLESSIS

Francois "Faf" du Plessis (born 13 July 1984) is a South African cricketer and the current captain of the Proteas across all formats.
He is a usual fixture at international level for the South African national cricket team. A right-handed middle order batsman who moved up to number 3 and also bowls part-time leg spin, du Plessis has played South African domestic cricket for Northerns and the Titans, as well as matches for Lancashire, the Chennai Super Kings, and the Melbourne Renegades.
He made his Test debut in November 2012, he became the fourth South African to score a Test century on debut. du Plessis was subsequently also named T20 captain of South Africa for the following Twenty20 series against New Zealand and confirmed full-time skipper in Feb 2013.
Du Plessis took over the Test captaincy in December 2016 and assumed full-time capataincy in all formats of the game in August 2017 after teammate and former captain AB de Villiers relinquished both respectively.
